Nollywood superstar and TV host Osas Ighodaro has officially shattered international borders by landing the lead role in a brand-new, cross-cultural Nolly-Bollywood micro-drama series titled “Imported Bahu.”

The highly anticipated project was officially unveiled by hitmaker executive producer Hamisha Daryani Ahuja (the mastermind behind Namaste Wahala and Postcards). Osas will star alongside Bollywood icon and model Rajniesh Duggall in a series designed entirely for vertical, mobile-first viewing.

According to the viral trailer drop, the storyline is packed with family conflict, cultural friction, and elite-level wealth:

• The Shocking Return: The son of a hyper-wealthy Indian family returns home from traveling abroad. His family expects him to bring back expensive “imported gifts,” but instead, he walks through the door with a Nigerian woman.

• The Power Character: Osas plays Zara Ogun, a bold, unapologetic, multimillionaire CEO of a massive fashion empire.

• The Drama: The plot thickens as Zara deals with extreme lack of acceptance and major pushback from her new partner’s traditional Indian family, setting up an explosive clash of cultures, secrets, and high-society shade. The series is set to officially premiere on July 2, 2026.
