There are a few simple tricks and tips for giving your bedroom a makeover on a budget. First, you need to ask yourself what sort of bedroom do I want? Do I want it warm and cozy with deep colors or do I want it bright and airy with a lighter pastel color?

Re-painting your bedroom is one of the best ways to make a real dramatic change on a budget. You should choose a color palette first that reflects what sort of room you want. Painting the whole room one color and then choosing one wall to paint a different color or a pattern is a great way to add life to your bedroom.
Upgrade your bedding
You may be surprised how much of a difference this will make to your room! Instead of having to buy a few different sets of duvet and pillow covers it may be more cost-effective to find a throw over or blanket and a couple of decorative cushions for your bed. Make sure these match your theme and color palette.
Up cycling
Up cycling is essentially using something that you already have. Itâs a great way to be creative and find something personal that will fit your new room! It could be as simple as framing a picture from a magazine or a poster that will fit in nicely. It could just as easily be a piece of furniture thatâs already in the house that you feel would be suitable.
Greenery!
Adding a plant always gives a really nice finish to a room. It makes it fresher and more alive! A floor plant can be really nice if you have space otherwise, one or two small plants can sit on the windowsill or a shelf. If you donât fancy the idea of looking after a plant you might forget to water, then cacti can be a really good choice. Most Cacti need little to no attention and some have really beautiful flowers.
