A super saver who hates parting with her cash hasn’t bought herself any new clothes in eight years and even refuses to buy toilet paper
Kate Hashimoto, from New York, appeared on TLC’s Extreme Cheapskates, where she shared her tips for a frugal lifestyle and how she gets by on a $200-a-month budget.
Speaking on the show she said: “I have lived in New York for three years, although it’s the most expensive city to live in I have found ways to get around it.
“If I have to spend money, I try and avoid it, I will try and pay as little as possible.”
Kate says she’s never paid for furniture and doesn’t mind scouring skips and the roadside to try and find stuff for her gaff.
